A lesson from the flu.

The flu has come to pay us a visit and we’re ready to be done with it for sure. A friend of mine who grew up on a farm (on a reservation no less) warned me of this. At least with the winter the only chores that must be tended is caring for the animals. This has made me appreciate the amount of work my awesome wife does. It’s her turn to be sick so I’ve had the role of Mr. Mom. Running herd on 3 kids, feeding them, teaching them, coaching and refereeing them on top of keeping the house in some type of order while making sure 5 bovine, 3 porcine, 10 lupine & 200 fowl all have food, water & bedding is gargantuan. This is what she does when I’m away at the fire station and this was MY idea. Yep, she’s awesome.
